IN ALL THIS BROKENNESS

Philippa Hays

Updated: Apr 25, 2020

In all this brokenness Lord, it feels like I am surrounded by so many witnesses proclaiming - where is your God? He is not real, He is absent, uncaring, unloving. But still I stand, knowing you are here. Amidst the confusion and heart ache - I stand hopeful. I will remember as King David did of your wonders long ago.

I will remember who I know you are, what you have done and can do. In all this brokenness Lord, I stand hopeful, exhausted but waiting. Waiting as one waits for the dawn in the dark before morning.

I know you will come. I know you will redeem this mess. I know you will reveal yourself, you will turn the words of the accuser, you will be glorified in all the earth. In all this brokenness Lord, I will remain, I will wait, I will hope expectantly. Do not let me put to shame, for you are the great  I AM and I trust in you.
