About me
Philippa Hays is a Gundaroo-based artist. Her work is inspired by the local landscape, interactions with family and friends, and her journey of faith.
Texture, light and detail are a feature of her work. She uses monoprinting, paper collage, acrylic, ink and pencil. Her work is represented in private collections in Sydney and Canberra, and she has also been commissioned by local organisations.
She has been selected to take part in a number of group exhibitions with regional artists, as well as national bodies such as the children’s charity, Compassion. She has coordinated and shown work in a number of group and solo shows.
Philippa is passionate about the arts and creating safe and fun spaces for others to grow in their own creative practice. As part of this, she runs a regular local art group called 'ODAM' (One Drawing A Month) which meets in Gundaroo.
