Be still and know

Philippa Hays

Contemplation

Reflection

Revelation

Big words, but without them we unravel, we loose focus,

we stress with no capacity to grow or learn.

To be still

What a skill, what a discipline!

How to stop?

How to pause and make time to be still in the hectic fragments called my day?

It is hard, but the benefits far out way the investment and struggle.

To be still and know

Well this is a divine wonder.

To know truth

To know one's thoughts and feelings

To know ones motivation and struggles

Maybe we don't like to be still as we will know things

that are painful and hard to face.

Contemplation

Reflection

Revelation

What a divine wonder that we can be still and know.

What grace that we can be still and know that life is far greater

and richer than what we can see or understand.

To be still and know

A divine gift given by God who wishes to be known in the stillness.

'Be still and know that I am God'
