INTRODUCTION

Leaving the Castle is collection of poems, thoughts and drawings taken over a 25 year period.

The journey began at 17 years of age. I was sitting near Lake Ginninderra in Canberra, seeking God about feeling so isolated and alone in the true deep places. In that quiet time of reflection, God gave me a picture of castle, a castle I had built.

This image began my quest. A quest to leave. A quest to follow Jesus. I did not know where or how it would happen.

But God did it.

And, in my inadequate way, I do hope the following thoughts (of which there are about 45 and in some order) show this journey home to Him.
