20: The Room of Preparation

Philippa Hays

Entering with Jesus into the Room of Preparation.

A beautiful sun-lit room where Jesus and I could rest.

Little did I realise that this room was a safe place for Jesus to reveal much of what I had dragged from the castle. Once revealed, the table was there for me to put these objects on, to look at them, to talk about them and to ultimately hand them over to Jesus to carry and redeem.

In was in this room of preparation that I saw the very first thing I had carried all the way from my castle: my coat of grief.

Jesus did not want me to wear this coat anymore, as he had far greater garments to replace it with: his garment of praise and his robe of righteousness.
