Grief and disappointment They go hand in hand with one another. Like a mother, disappointment gives birth to grief, grief suckles and clings to disappointment. Like a heavy coat of grief, disappointment are the buttons that keep the coat on.

God has the remedy.

He has made us garments to wear.

A garment of righteousness and joy to replace and cover the shame and disappointment we attack ourselves with.

A garment of praise and gratefulness to replace the coat of grief that is so heavy and destructive.

The garments God has made for us are unique and fit us perfectly, custom-made by our creator who knows us and loves us.

They come at a high price, a price we cannot not afford.

But praise be to God who has purchased our garments for us.

It is Jesus who has paid the bill and gifted them to us.

For he has a party he wants us to be appropriately dressed for.

A party, a ballroom, a dance with him in the temple of joy.

Let’s get dressed!
