30: I'm Frightened

Philippa Hays

I’m frightened to trust you God, as my authority figures have been: Distant Set too higher expectations Not there for me Shown me that acceptance is tied up with perfection.

I am not perfect. I am a failure.

You certainly wouldn’t want to dance with me. If you do, you are just being nice, but then you will go.

I am too weak to walk on my own, yet too fearful to trust if I am rejected.

I will rely on me. I am exhausted, the burden is too heavy.

I choose to trust you Lord. I choose to believe who you say you are: My daddy God You love me unconditionally You are here. You are safe.

Show me how to dance again.

To walk away from my cage of doubt, fears, control and conditions.
